Addiction is a hell of a catalyst, right?

It'll either forge you into a better and stronger version of yourself, as you learn to navigate the inferno of desire and the ebb and swell of emotion.

Or it will destroy you, and leave you to rot.

I've had my own journey with addiction - though my pet back-monkey comes in the comestible format, not the imbibable one.

I also have never been called to a program to manage my relationship with the plant. And over the course of three decades now, the monkey and I have danced to many different tunes.

I have chosen not to completely stop - but rather to limit myself to spirit doses when the circumstances are calling for it.

The rest of the time, I remember how much I like sleeping well, and how much better I feel when I'm not partaking.

NOT a comparison to your journey - which you did an amazing job of sharing, and also achieving - congrats. Everyone has their own journey with addiction, and (as far as I can tell) addiction tests pretty much every single human on the planet - one way or another.

Here's to flowing with our own power, instead of trying to force it one way or another!
