Did you know that whenever I write a comment on a piece you’ve written Jessica WildFire, I wonder if you grade it in your head. Probably not. I know you said you hate grading even though you’re good at it…

They say attachment is at the root of all suffering.

I’ve learned that in order to live in the new place, you have to examine (and possibly demolish) the old one first.

Perhaps it was my upbringing as a military kid, but I’m pretty used to moving.

Maybe most of us lack the skills to clearly recognize the the new place when we find ourselves there.

And certainly many of us have a hard time leaving big chunks of the past behind. Have you seen Tiny House Nation?

Whatever the reasons for not melting in, I agree with you that is better if we allow ourselves to do it.

After all, the butterfly doesn’t get to emerge from its imaginal discs until the caterpillar dies.
