Do You Miss Posting From Your Phone?

Yeah. Me too. Whose terrible idea was it to get rid of the mobile authoring function?

The last three and a half years have been magical, Medium. Before I get on your case about the, dare I say redonculous decision to delete digital functionality that already existed, and in fact, worked pretty well — spare me a moment to reminisce.

At first, this social writing platform was a bit of an enigma to me. My early posts here were entirely untethered from any precedent. Probably a bit clueless and naive, in fact. I had no concept of what to write, how to format things, or who I was speaking to.

But after a while, the two of us really started to hit a groove.

I learned how to format my posts. Then I figured out how to credit, and recenter hero images. Later, I learned how to add links in a way that didn’t interrupt my readers' flow.

I learned about writing for my people, and I learned the importance of using the word YOU in my title from a class I took with Tim Denning & Todd Brison.

The Badassery community I found through these two guys is truly special. It helped me to bridge the gap between personal authenticity and professional productivity with help from many of the folks there including Ilona Goanos
