Do You Prefer to Write Hard, Angry Feminism? Or is the Gentler, Kinder Version More Your Jam?

And which do you think has a deeper impact on your readers?

Hey team Feminist. Got a minute?

I have two real, honest, heart to heart questions for y’all about the flavor of content you prefer to consume. I’m also curious what you think is the most effective approach to creating real change?

  1. Would you rather write a sizzling hot, ferociously angry feminist rant?
  2. Or do you prefer to write a calmer, wiser, kinder reflection on the world we could build together if the ways of the patriarchy were left behind?

And here I’m not talking about a fake-nice, peace and love, sunshine and rainbows kind of wise. I’m talking about a gritty, pragmatic, honey vs lemons approach to creating holistic change.

I’m asking because I always seem to get more traction, especially with other self-identified feminists, when I produce writing of the former kind.

While my lessons-learned, let’s-work-in-partnership-to-move-forward-in-loving-ways pieces typically languish far behind when it comes to engagement, reads, and shares.
