Edie I have a confession to make. I read too fast.

And I’m not a skimmer. I really read articles too. It honestly never takes me even close to the official readtime to get through any piece. 5 minute stories DO only actually take 90 seconds for me to read.

I’ve tried to slow down as the changes have come into effect, but I am also a busy mama. I love to read, but don’t take time to savor posts because otherwise I wouldn’t make it through many.

So maybe that average read time isn’t what you think it is. I had a 5 min piece go big the other day. For me at least. Avg read time on my stats was 59 seconds.

Don’t doubt yourself. Your work is very good. I think there is just a subset of speed readers on here. My 2 cents.
