Reading that story has whetted my appetite for more, and I plan to watch the two-part Frontline documentary this week. I’ve also ordered a couple of books from the library, and hope to follow up with more stories here once I’ve read The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels and The Gospel of Mary Magdalene by Jean-Yves Leloup.

Gotta put this book on your radar too. It's an absolutely smashing re-write of christianity - but written entirely from Miriam's POV.
And it's SO GOOD.
