I love the idea of changing (improving) the way we value caregiving work rather than focusing on the gender of the person doing the caring. That seems like a very good idea.
Maybe if caregiving was properly valued economically (see Riane Eisler - The Real Wealth of Nations) then it wouldn't be relegated to the current "she-fault" assumptions?
I think this change is going to take a LOT longer than any of us (Moms / Non-Moms / People with a sense of having a moral compass) really want it too. But at least there is SOME progress. A little!
