Hi Francis. I know one of the “big fishes” here on the platform, John Gorman, and he started out just a little while ago writing because he needed a place to process and unburden his soul. He’s now one of the top 100 writers on Medium, and as far as I know — he never had credentials other than his writing skills that he built this with.

I’m with Dana Bennett — I think there’s room to jump into the big fish system without feeling like there is a glass ceiling. Granted, I haven’t done it. Yet. But I’m here writing for the love of it. I guess time will tell who is right.
