Hygiene theater is the perfect term for this. And before I read the post, I was thinking, it’s just like the TSA show at the airports. You got there before me.

I’m all for sane and clean spaces, but this absorption with killing the germs is kind of in line with the whole manifest destiny, white supremacy, patriarchy thing.

Nature scares us!! It could hurt us! Let’s kill it!!
