I don’t like the patriarchy either. But although it FEELS a lot like men = patriarchy, it’s more nuanced than that.

Women can be the patriarchy too. We perpetuate the same dominator mindset when we behave unconsciously. It’s the waters we were born in and gender both is and isn’t the hierarchy that gets enforced.

There are amazing guys out there who want to end the patriarchy too. More of them, like Frederick, are finally choosing to speak up:

In my heart; we support that and we’ll be ok. It’s sure going to work a lot better than going all butthurt and blamey - which is of course, what the media seems to encourage.

Let us unweave these old stories and start to tell new ones.
