I resonate with so much of what you say here. So much so that I freelanced for 15 years and had total control over my time.
But I just went back to the corporate world too, and to my utter shock, I LOVE it. Maybe I just lucked out. Maybe it’s a result of being extremely picky about the job I picked. But I’ve got great co-workers, extreme flexibility where and when I have to work, work I really actually enjoy, results-based-management, and I still have time to write.
I also have insurance for my whole family, and finally enough cash in my bank account to lower our financial stress levels exponentially.
