I will say - that the one bright spot in my tenure at this tech place was my direct manager. He was absolutely amazing, and backed me up 100%. I called him coach, instead of boss.

He was 15 years younger than me, a 6'7" mormon guy, and also a Swiftie. Go figure. Between him, and the awesome intern I had (who I've now hired as my backup for my current freelancing contract) I had good conversations at work, at least.

My boss also got sacked when the division closed. They didn't value his contributions either. Stupid.
