If we lived in community and harmony with each other and nature, there would be a lot that was different.
Women (and men) would be much less likely to be raped or molested, because fewer people would feel like they needed to have power over others obtained by force.
Raising children would be less burdensome on any one woman or couple, with resources like the ones proffered in this piece available to far more people.
Money would not be the stressor it is today if we had a collective responsibility to take care of one another.
I really loved reading this piece. And I also agree that in today's world, just raising the baby for someone doesn't take away the traumatic way that some people are forced into pregnancy.
But for these kids, and this coach's extended family - I think it's great. What a nice middle ground! Such a rarity these days.
