If your potential boss asks you out for a social date, the power dynamic is all fucked up.

If you say No, what happens? I’d you say Yes, what happens? You’re pretty much screwed either way.

Unless it was an interview and you get to cross the dude off the list before he gets to be your boss.

If the context of the interaction didn’t have to do with work or money or position, the guy’s approach would have been fine. Friendly, even.

But in the context of an interview, it was highly inappropriate.
