I’m liberal, pro-choice, fiercely feminist, and yes a gun owner.

BUT… I would gladly give up my gun to protect just one child.

There’s a huge difference between seeing a gun as a powerful and dangerous tool that deserves the utmost caution and respect - and pretending life is a fucking videogame where killing people doesn’t matter.

I don’t get it either Shani. I wish we could address the underlying causes of all this tragic nonsense. But we don’t. Most of us don’t anyway.

In the meantime, I’ll keep my gun locked up except for those few shots I take each year to hunt game. And I stand with ALL legislation that is more intelligent than what we have now.
