I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how our approved childhood fantasies as girls were never about what we really wanted. They were mostly / more about how much someone else would want us. And how blissful we would be to be found.

Now as an adult, I’m trying to figure out who I’ll really am, and if what I want comes from inside of me? Or from the cultural waters we swim in?
