Maybe we're not supposed to outsmart the microbes? Maybe they're Mother Nature's immune response to humans?

The assumptions that humans are supposed to be in control, supposed to control the spread of disease, and supposed to be the only thing that matters on this planet should be revisited.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to say let's let all the humans die. But our current approach is (a) highly ineffective, and (b) ideologically very blind.
