Menopause is a gateway where we get to shed the aprons and tools we’ve borne most of our lives - for others - and leave them at the gate.

Then, if we are brave, move on unemcumbered by so many pressing needs from others.

We FINALLY remember to prioritize our own desires, passions, and adventures! Then we spend our 50s learning how to become ourselves once again.

Or as an older lady put it to me recently in passing in the gym sauna, “When your eggs dry up, your fucks go right along with them!”
