My son is 12. I’m quite aware of how fast he’s racing towards adulthood. Even if him, it feels like a slow crawl.

I’m 48 and the days go faster one by one. I sometimes feel like I’m racing to keep up.

My Dad is about to turn 70 this year. He’s absolutely one of my favorite human beings, as is my Mom. I privileged to spend time with them both.

My grandparents are both 93, and my grandfather is in his sunset days.

All of life. It’s all sacred. It’s all worth gratitude. It’s all a test.

I don’t share the Christian religion with you, but I think, after reading your essays for years, I can say I do share a faith akin to yours. Even though I use a different framework for the divine, the sentiment is quite similar.
