I thoroughly agree with you. The word “patriarchy” and its association with “men” is highly distracting from the real root cause solutions. But isn’t that how the system maintains itself? By teaching us to other and blame the problems instead of doing the work? It’s a bypass to blame, imho. And contemporary feminism fallls into this trap quite often.

I also LOVE framing “the work” as a gift. You’re so spot on with this.

We are in a golden window of opportunity to do this work. We have so many tools!!! And it’s clearly time. But we must do it (a) within ourselves, and (b) together in community.
