Surprise!
We have not been paying attention, at all, for generations, so we are wondering what is happening. But it is so crystal clear if you just take a moment to think. To feel. To notice. To observe.
Self-interest, fear, hate, and violence. These are the distractions of unhappiness we’ve been allowed, like wayward children, to cultivate to the point of danger.
We’ve created this game around money and power and control, and we’re collectively obsessed! The fact that our current gov’t is trying to turn the ECONOMY back on in the face of all that is happening surprises me about the same way that my 7-year-old is trying to turn the Nintendo back on during this long, long unexpected spring break. Obsessed. To the point of self-destruction.
We’re finally starting to draw back the curtain on the danger. But this danger has existed for so very long. You’re so right John, division is the enemy. And if we keep feeding our divisions, we will without any doubt in the issue, suffer the consequences. This pause of normal life is here for a damn good reason I believe.
In response to the comments below — you have not moved the target of hate. Idk what the dude below me in the comments is talking about there — but guess what, I’m not going to hate on him because his understanding of this pieces is different than mine. He’s just another human. Just like me. We are one, even though we might have some disagreement here. I’m not sure about the person who posted about Covid Lickers Unite. I’ll do my best with that one. Challenges are good, right?
Honestly, we must realize that it is our penchant for fighting, for hating, for fearing, for striving for more more more in order to beat the others to what we perceive is the treasure… This is where the dysfunction stems from. This is where the climate crisis, the biodiversity crisis, the water crisis, the soil crisis is coming from. The money system is just a lens into the disease. It is not the disease itself.
Does this illuminate our concern over the ECONOMY right now? I mean, yeah, I get it, we use the economy to survive. But maybe, just maybe it’s time to kill the economy that we humans have built and get to work, together, creating a better one that can actually SUPPORT the egalitarian concepts you paint so beautifully, so urgently here. Maybe consumption isn’t the answer…
The disease is our disconnect.
From each other. From our world. From the divine. Money just illuminates the disconnect. And it’s so f-ing clear!
So yes. We must each make the choice to bring the love. Bring the unity. Bring the peace. And let’s do it now. You can start with nothing beyond an attitude adjustment to your current situation. Stop bitching. Start enjoying. Find happiness, no matter what the situation is.
