The thing that gets me about the feminism thing is that it’s focused on gender instead of equality. What you write is spot on. And what the comment before me said about feminism vs misandry is spot on as well.

There has to be a better word for people who advocate for equality than feminism, don’t you think?

Because although it has mainly been women over the years trying to raise themselves up to a place of social equality, at this point it’s become the mission for people of ALL genders.

We need a new word for it.
