The whole idea of private property ownership is preposterous and fraught with idiocy. Of course we’re glimpsing the end of this dumb ruse.

My kids are going to have to scramble to survive. Yet there is sill this crazy ass idea that “investing in land” by paying another person for a piece of paper that says you get to control what happens there is a “good investment.”

What if we saw “investing in the land” as something else? What if we saw it as doing the work to help the land recover from all the dumb fuck things we’ve ignorantly done and allowed to happen, as we as a culture separated more and more from the concept of being a PART of the systems. Not its master?

I work with some folks here near Austin that are doing some of this real work. It gives me hope to see, but I’m also concerned that there are too few of us playing this game accuratley…
