There is a subtle dance between the role of the divine masculine (a forward-moving directional force) and the divine feminine (multi-directional creativity and connection to all of life) that does feel healthy and reciprocal.
But the reductionist thinking of making the man the “head of household” and the woman, therefore, the follower of man is what creates problems with the common paradigm.
How do we throw out the bathwater but save the baby? How do we reclaim the balanced dance of yin and yang without dooming half (or more) of the population to a subservient role?
