They've been taught to do this with the Shakti within themselves. That anytime their urge to be vulnerable, emotional, powerful, and sexually primal without dominance comes upon them - they're supposed to stuff it down. They've been fooled into thinking this part of them makes them LESS of a man. And because they've subconsciously internalized this response to these energies, they try to do the same to the wild woman without.

At least that's my take on it.

Domination won't give way to partnership until Shakti and Shiva learn how to coexist once again in balance. Fortunatly Shakti is coming back into her full power again, whether we're ready or not!
