Teaching that a clear yes is the only indicator of consent is one of the staples in our household. Regardless of gender. Both parties have to want whatever it is that's being considered. From wrestling, to playing games, to plain old hugs. Consent is a VITAL concept to teach.
We also teach that if you are not enjoying what is happening, you always have the right to say, hey I’m done for now. I’m withdrawing my consent. I know that will get more layered as my kids get older, but the basic concept is true.
