This is one of the best, chewiest threads I've gotten a chance to participate in on Medium. It takes me back to arguing with my friends in jr. high about the meaning of life - but better, because back then I had very little lived experience to compare it all to.

I'll leave you with this thought. What if meaning DOES have a purpose beyond being a concept shared between humans? What if by decentering the human perspective, and trying to glimpse at meaning through the lens of the creative universe itself, we can see beyond the conflicts we encounter at the surface level of life.

This is not to say we should try to LIVE from this elevated perspective. But what if by admitting its existence, we could put our own experience of life into the context of something greater?

I've had enough out of body experiences - both natural and stimulated by various substances - that I've personally glimpsed this possibility. And maybe I'm full of shit to think that there is something here beyond the random firing of my own neurons.

But maybe I'm not.

Time is the only thing that will tell.

Good day to you, Andy. I look forward to future interactions as they arise. Here's to that miracle called life while we both still have it!
