Well yeah. If you make a choice, especially post childbearing, to get a hysterectomy or biologics or anything like that because YOU want to and feel that makes sense for you, then absolutely. Go for it. It is your body.
But if society tells you that you aren’t worthy because you bleed from your womb, and you change to please the world, that’s a wholly different issue. If you can’t keep up with your schedule or your workload or your responsibilities to others because your own cycle is trying to tell you to rest or to tell you that you aren’t in balance — those warnings are meant to be heard, not suppressed.
I won’t lie. I’m looking forward to menopause and the cessation of my own cycle. But I bristle at the whole “women have to change who they are to be acceptable” thing, as I know you know. That’s where I was coming from.
