On another note, the bit you wrote about testosterone -

It’s hard to describe what it feels like to have testosterone coursing through your veins. Leaking out of your ears. To have a brain flooded with hormones.

I’m finding as I get older that there seems to be a strong parallel between the hormonal onslaught of the teenaged male, and the powerful currents of the estrogen drop that happens to women in perimenopause. It’s not the same kind of crazy, but it’s a similar deluge of chemical insanity that blankets the soul and buries what I think of as the real me.
