What confuses me is the people who champion Trump, but then claim they want to serve the downtrodden. Is the nature of that service than to elevate themselves above those they serve?

How did the gnostic message of early Christianity get so warped? When did “turn the other cheek” begin to translate into “turn the other cheek and then you will be better than the person who is striking you, and GOD will show them his wrath?”

I like what Charles Eisenstein has to say about this here.

Elle Beau as you know, I’m hip to the whole hierarchy of domination paradigm. But what bothers me is not simply that the andocracy exists, it’s that we keep choosing it over and over again.

How does that happen? And more to the point, how do we keep it from happening again this time? It’s past time to snap that old rubberband.

Vote and participate are some of the answers. But it feels like we truly need something more. What do you think?
