When I had my kids, I refused to carry a diaper bag. I would keep a gallon ziplock bag with a pack of wipes and a few clean diapers in it.

If I got really fancy, I'd put the ziplock with a baby blanket in a pouch and throw it in my tote. My kids always had water available to drink once they were old enough. That was enough for me to deal with.

I've never understood the appeal of mega-consumerism. And I'm a suburban Mom from Texas.
