When I see these comments that volunteer information about the writer in a kind of “look at me” way it calls to mind when my young kids want to participate in an adult conversation by interjecting their own thoughts, whether they’re relevant or not.

My kids just haven’t learned yet. Of course, they did just recently start talking at all.

But some folks just don’t understand Medium etiquette yet. They don’t know it’s a conversation, really.

That’s not an excuse, it’s just a realization.
