Yeah, I feel you. I think the difference between the way our current global culture of domination affects us differently by gender is this. Women have been SO oppressed for SO long that they started breaking taboos, speaking up for themselves, and speaking out against men HUNDREDS of years ago. Check out the feminist uprising in Athens where all the statuary in town was deprived of it's marble penises.

Whereas men, who've also been exploited, programmed, and shoved into unfulfilling roles defined by what's know as the #manbox - have been slower to speak up and speak out. Perhaps the degree of privilege conferred by living in a male body makes the oppression of being male just a little bit that more perceivably livable.

Thankfully - there are more men speaking up now about things than there used to be - even just a few years back.

Yes - we live in interesting times. And also - the psychological effect of a world full of uncertainty has made this feel like a perilous time to be alive as well.

The anti-male outcry you make note of is a direct response to living in an utterly anti-female world. But not all feminists hate men.

This particular feminist would like to rise alongside other humans who've been beleagured by the patriarchy for forever now.

It's time to heal the hurt we've caused globally and to the natural world. And it's time to stop fighting across the gender-aisle with crap that's not going to help anyone.

If you want to read some good ol' pro human (inclusive of men) feminism, it does exist. I know I've written 10+ pieces on it myself.
