You know, I agree with you.
In fact this whole piece was written about how I’d LIKE to be over it already. And for some reason I’m not.
I don’t play the game of trying to be beautiful to make others happy. But even while choosing NOT to play the game, self-objectification is still an issue.
While I’m game to do my own work and move on, it’s fucking frustrating to constantly experience the subconscious effects of the cultural programming.
Got any wise suggestions from your perspective? I’d love to hear your opinion.
