I did not know there were legal ramifications for a child owning a sexual selfie. That’s eye opening, and interesting… I get the crazy pressures around sharing such content, and the tragic consequences that might (and sadly do) ensue. But making it illegal to have a picture of yourself? That’s weird.
Thanks for writing this piece. I’m preparing for my kids entry into teenaged years a few years down the road. We’ve told our oldest he gets a cell phone when he turns 16, no sooner. I know, I know. That’s ambitious AF, but THIS stuff is why.
