You’re right. But if you think about it - your post and what Katie wrote about are BOTH examples of the same stupid double standard. The fact that they’re being enacted by men against women and by women against men just proves that both genders can be awful and mean to the other.
Dominance and violence are held up as the way to “win” and get what you want. And a hierarchy of importance and status determines who gets to be on top and who gets trampled. I wrote about it here in detail, if you are interested.

Gender, race, social-economic opportunity — it’s all the same.
In a better world neither men nor women would be abused by someone of the opposite gender.
That’s why we speak up for power and sovreignty, which (as was pointed out in this piece) is more COMMONLY denied to women than to men. Though what you say is totally valid too.
