This subtle and sneaky idea that "the masculine" OWNS things and "the feminine" IS a thing is so deeply embedded in our collective subconscious, and our language unfortunately reflects this.
What makes it SOOOOOO confusing is that "the masculine" is not the same as "men," and "the feminine" is not the same as "women."
So when a woman says, "I HAVE a cat," this could be this woman speaking from her masculine mind.
This is why that second book, the Chalice & the Blade is so important, imho. It breaks this concept down into "domination" v "partnership" which is not a gendered concept.
I think it's really important to talk about language, because SO much of our conflict these days is about misunderstandings, and misinterpretations.
Would that everyone on earth had been trained in a debate club, and we all knew how to do conflict within a container of respect!!!
